Stanley 101 1/2 bullnose block plane offered 1880 - 1929 Same as No 101 with bullnose front and finger rest. Make sure it has the finger rest. Some look-alike planes are simply cut down versions of the 101. Part of the finger rest protrudes from the body.
Beware: Cut down versions of the 101 appear on eBay every now and then – this one was offered as: UNUSUAL LITTLE STANLEY BULL NOSE PLANE 2 1/2" LONG RARE 101 ½ ? Remember: 101 + angle grinder = 101 1/2 |
