Stanley 110 block plane

offered 1874 - 1984

7"  long with  a 1 5/8" cutter.

Simple, non-adjustable general purpose block plane. Pictured are the Australian version on the right, late US model, six star cap and English model next. This plane had a very long production period that resulted in many different versions. The earliest types are rare to very rare and hardly ever show up. They can easily be identified by their decorative, open "shoe buckle" lever caps. Planes from the late 1870s and 80s have a six point star cut out on the lever cap - more about five and six star caps see 120

The earliest types from the first two or three years of production have a fancy lever cap and are known as shoe-buckle planes.
