Stanley 131 Double End Block Plane

offered 1905 - 1941

8 inches long with a 1 3/4" or 1 5/8" cutter, depending on the vintage.

same as the 130 but with a depth adjuster. The plane pictured on top is original, the one on the bottom has had the bullnose stop removed. Alterations like this devalue the plane considerably.

Frequent problems: This plane has a pivoting depth adjuster mechanism. When changed from a block plane to a bullnose plane the entire adjuster mechanism is turned from the back to the front of the plane. Watch out for any damage to the cast iron depth adjuster block or yoke assembly. (see detail pictures )
