Stanley 141 Bullnose plow plane

offered 1887 - 1918

9 1/4 inches long with 11 cutters.

This plane is the later version of the # 41 with an added feature: it came with two nose plates, one in the traditional skate form, the other with a square front for bullnose work. I outlined the shape of the bullnose plate with black marker pen. This plane hardly ever shows up with both plates.

The obvious difference to the 41 is the detachable nose piece(s). Both planes have similar floral decorations but in the 141 the decorations are cast a lot more shallow.
