Stanley 212 scraper plane
offered 1911-1935
5 1/2" long with a 1 3/8" blade
Smallest and rarest of the Stanley scrapers with a
rosewood knob for one-handed use.
Old style script mark
Stanley No 212 on
body. Blades are often not marked, blade screws usually shows T, V
or SW logo. I don't know of any type studies but logically the T
trademark on the blade screw would make that scraper a type 1.
Watch out for pitting on the sole and excessive rust,
especially around the pivoting blade clamp - you might find it seized or
damaged inside. Make sure both brass nuts are the same, the outer one is
frequently replaced.
