Stanley 239 Special dado plane

7 1/2"  long  4 cutter sizes were available 1/8, 5/32, 3/16 and 1/4"

Up to around 1925 the 239 didn't have a fence. There was a very similar plane, 239 1/2 with a fence but without the front double spur cutter. It was discontinued after the fence became standard for  the 239.

Spur is often missing or replaced with a modified cutter. Skate front is weak, watch out for hairline cracks.
