If you only want one transitional plane to complete your collection and if you actually would like to put it to use- this is the one you should go for. A nice looking tool with a comfortable handle and a good feel plus a depth adjuster nut that is slightly easier to access than in most other transitional smoothers. Remember, light duty on softwood is the keyword!
