Stanley 6 fore plane  

offered 1869 - 1984

18" long with  a 2 3/8" cutter  

This plane has been re-painted and fitted with a modified handle. Ok for user but not acceptable for collectors.

The Stanley 6 is an odd size, lost between the 5 ½ jack  and the 7 jointer. Stanley advertised this size as a fore plane. You might stumble across a US made model but they really are not all that common in Australia.

Cleaned plane looks pretty good but has a couple of issues: Deep scratches in soft aluminium body reduce value. Owner's marks are ok IF they are small an neat. This one is not.
