Stanley 92 cabinet maker's rabbet plane

offered 1902 - 1969

5 1/2"  long with  a 3/4"  cutter

If you remove the top part (shoulder) of this plane you end up with a very useful little stop bullnose or chisel plane – see 93.
Later models are made in England - marked Stanley on the cutter only.
US models have a small steel disc with the Stanley logo inserted into the front. The nose piece is hollow. Type one has no disc and you can clearly see that the sole of the nose piece has been attached to the sides.
Possible problems with all 90s series planes: Chipped mouth, missing spacer screw inside nose piece, damaged or missing clamp/chip breaker. Make sure the chip breaker is visible or ask for pictures with the nose part removed
